08:02 AM ET 09.23 | Minnesota reportedly made an offer, but so, too, did the Rams. How involved were the St. Louis Rams with Vincent Jackson? Two league sources told the Post-Dispatch on Wednesday that the Rams made a contract offer to the San Diego Chargers' wide receiver. One of the sources also said that the hang up in Jackson going to the Rams was the trade terms with the Chargers.

Interesting combo should Bradford get him the ball...

AJ Smith- "We'll let you have this pain in the keister for a 2nd and 3rd rounder. How's that sound?"

The rest of the NFL- "Uh, no thanks. We have our allotment of pains in the keister."

So, Jackson gets next-to-nothing this year (if you call $400K next-to-nothing) and the Chargers get nothing for him next year. Meanwhile, Minnesota and Saint Loo get nothing this year.

I can't see how anyone came out ahead here.

AJ Smith is turning down trades out of spite. He's gonna stick it to Jackson even if it means losing out on his trade value.

From A.J. Smith's perspective, he's winning because he's able to publicly punish V-Jack. His is to be the biggest SOB around when it comes to contract renegotiations. SD better keep drafting well, because they have little shot of landing free agents with that guy as GM.

Oh yeah, the nickname going around for A.J. Smith 'The Lord Without Rings.'

Once again San Deigo is setting themselves up for failure.

Rams don't have him any more but should: Vincent Jackson meet Leonard Little...

A.J. Smith's ego came out ahead, and that's about it.

The Chargers Ownership are fools for having this proven moron as GM and to continue to allow him to make these bad decisions regarding player personel. Archie had it right, and players should never sign more than a 3 year contract with this organization unless they are overpayed from start. In that case, the GM should be fired anyone. It is clearly time for AJ to go. He continues to ruin (Brees) this franchise...........FIRE HIM..FIRE HIM.....FIRE HIM.....PLEASE.

If you change Chargers to Cowboys you can say the same thing. Unfortunately the latter won't happen anytime soon.

V-Jax smokes crax

The Vikings are really screwed, Harvin Missed practice because of his head aches yesterday and Bernard Berrian, has a bum Knee. Look's like Detroit is going to win Sunday.

Of all the rumored places for Jackson to land, the Rams are the most intriguing to me. Give Bradford a weapon he can grow with... could pay off huge in a couple of years.
