Arkansas coach on hot seat

Arkansas has lost five of its last six games. Speculation has increased about the coaching options for incoming athletic director Jeff Long, who will replace longtime AD Frank Broyles. A turnaround on the field might be easier to accomplish than one in the court of public opinion. This week, Houston Nutt moved into the uncomfortable No. 1 spot on the Web site coacheshotseat.com, ahead of Charlie Weis, Mike Stoops and Phil Bennett. Beginning today, the Razorbacks face an accommodating schedule that includes North Texas, Chattanooga, Auburn, Ole Miss and Florida International.

This guy's a clown.

Just think. They could of had him at Nebraska.

Sooey pig!

Bye Bye! The big mighty SEC ate him up and dont forget they lost to the "slow unathletic" Wisconsin Badgers last year.

You never want your Nutt on a hot seat. OUCH!

Space Ace, I'm pretty sure the majority of the Cornhuskers faithful would rather have Nutt over Callahan any day of the week, lol.

I have been waiting for this since his second year. I will be glad to get rid of the last of the good old boys so that Arkansas sports can start over. I do feel very bad for all of the talented ball players that are and have played while under nutt. AKA mcfadden, monk, both jones.

How do you want your Nutt, Razorback Fans? Do you want your Nutt roasted or boiled?

Soooeeyyy!

Give Houston a break. Yeah, he could give Casey Dick more confidence by allowing him to throw a little more, but when you have two studs like McFadden and Jones, you have to run the ball. The defense lost a lot in the off season and our top two receivers have been out all year. They'll right the ship and get back on track and finish 8-4 or 9-3. Losing against LSU and maybe South Carolina. As for the Mustain supporters...the guy got benched in favor of the more experienced QB last year and cried his way to USC.

It's about time Arkansas got sorry again. SEC teams FL, GA, AUB, and
TENN and LSU gotta have somebody they can beat up on without
struggling. Notice I didn't put AL in the list of big SEC teams. AL will
have to really get it in gear to get back to their glory days, and guess
what, Nick is not the Saviour.

I'm glad to see that Auburn is part of their "accomodating" upcoming schedule. We'll see just how "accomodating" they are on Saturday.

Arkansas will be extremely lucky if they get more than 3 conference wins this year. And I'm not so sure they'll even be able to win 2.

I totally agree with Kris777. Statistically, the razorbacks have had THE BEST rushing attack in the SEC since Nutt arrived, and one of the best consistent defenses, but all those yards and points just don't turn into wins at the end of the day. I for one am so glad that Mustain left. I've liked Casey better since he took over for Robert Johnson his freshman year. I wish Damian Williams would've stayed, but we still have the best reciever in the SEC, Marcus Monk. Next year, expect our passing game to be better, if Monk does redshirt even though he doesn't want to, and with Crosby Tuck coming back and Ben Cleveland. Well anyways, after saying all that and although I have the utmost respect for Coach Nutt, I do think it's his time to leave.
