Brown not using 66-3 rout as motivation

09:34 AM ET 09.25 | In his early days as Texas' football coach, Mack Brown would remind Longhorns players who were part of the 1997 team about the humiliation of their 66-3 loss to UCLA. He says those types of motivational ploys are long gone, though. "We have not talked to the kids about it; they weren't really around," Brown said this week. "The media and the fans are going to talk about it. But the kids were 4 or 5 years old at the time. They don't know players from that game, and the coaches have changed."

Cold front approaching with a chance of rain for today's game, some heavy downpours possible. It could be sloppy.

He is getting tired of dominating college football and maybe he is secretly entering pie eating contests on the side......

I still don't see how UCLA dropped Houston; I guess knocking out Keenum and his backup helps... but I don't see UCLA being remotely close in this game (Neuheisel teams seem to be anomalies don't they?... kinda smoke and mirrors), especially if the weather is going to be as what everyone here is saying...

Mack looked like he was going to have a stroke out there today. Maybe he can use this game as a motivational tool.
Better luck next season Horns. The mighty UCLA Bruins hooked you today and the Sooners will cook you next week.
