Brown facing his worst Texas season ever?

08:11 AM ET 09.27 | Texas plummeted in the polls this week, and now has a century-old rivalry game on the horizon. Mack Brown may be facing his worst season at Texas if he doesn't make the proper adjustments to this team, after his worst home loss ever here. Consider much more D.J. Monroe, after his 8.5 yards per carry on Saturday. He's the most explosive weapon on this team although it defies reason to hear Mack say the sophomore running back needs to get in shape four weeks into the season.

Nice little run Texas but bye bye texas, time for Mack to pack it in and retire.
And how bout my crimson tide, totally dominated the 2nd half and showed what true champions are about. The Cream truly does always rise to the top. ROLL TIDE ROLL!
This week DOWN GO THE GATORS!

p.s. I was scared to death during game but never lost confidence. ROLL TIDE!

Any time your football team gets smacked around by UCLA's team, your year isn't going well. GOOOOOOO BRUINNNNS!!!!!!!

Ok... this is Brown's fault.

You recruit an excellent high school QB (I saw him play in High School in the State Championship) that is an under-center, pro-style, pocket passer... but you don't build the right offense around him?

With Young/McCoy, both were extremely mobile. Gilbert needs a better offensive line in front of him, a better back behind him, and better schematics to support him. All of which is Brown's fault for a lack of recruiting (in the past he could get by recruiting a decent RB and decent lineman because his QB would make up the difference) and a lack of a viable game plan.

All Gilbert wanted to do was play for his state's school, this may actually turn out to be the worst decision he's ever made.

You mean Ryan Mallet choked and you escaped Arkansas win a win...

Um, ALABAMA choked former heisman candidate Mallet. Check the 2nd half stats buttercup.

Mallett choked. Your offense stepped it up, and the defense got a little better, but Mallett made a couple of terrible throws at the end. Good win by Bama though and it was a great game to watch.

The Horns defense made Kevin Prince look like the kid from Nevada.

I don't know if you Horn fans remember my comment about UT always having puzzling losses, but here it is again. This one did look more like a coaching thing though (as was suggested in responses back then), because that defense looked totally unprepared.

Alabama turned their game up a notch in the second half and Arkansas couldn't keep the pace. I hate them with a passion but they proved that they are the most physical team in college football right now. That second half was power football at it's finest. I was one of those that thought Richardson might be the best back on that team but not anymore. Ingram is a hoss.

Sam, quit making everyone hate us. This is a Texas article.

What is Texas' worst year under Brown? I can't believe people are already saying this after 1 loss.

Sometimes, people will choke...

UCLA might be better than expected this season.
Of course, as a Vol fan, I thought that about the Bruins last season. And the one before that, too.

It's not second half stats...it's 4th quarter stats. He threw two picks in pack to back possessions in the crunch. He didn't have an incomplete pass in the 3rd.

Maybe he threw the game for some big-time gamblers. The BlackHogs scandal of 2010.

A voice of reason. Always good to hear.
Bad losses happen sometimes even when a team isn't in a downward spiral.
