06:13 AM ET 05.07 | Mike Pelfrey's now 0-4 with a 6.39 ERA in five starts, and there has to be a chance that if Jorge Sosa keeps performing that Pelfrey could lose his spot to Jorge Sosa once Orlando Hernandez returns from the DL. It's not yet known when El Duque will be back, but Pelfrey might be under pressure to have better outings.

Pelfrey has actually looked better in his last couple starts. No reason to panic. Unless he regresses badly, give him until the All-Star break.

I think he pitched well enough to deserve a win yesterday, but the Mets are on a roll and needed to rest some players. So they rested Beltran, Lo Duca, Delgado and started Gotay instead of Easley.. I knew that must have made Pelfrey's water boil... But all and all he's showing improvement.....Let's hope he calms down on the walk and rough first innings..

Pelphrey is a solid major league starter. He just needs some time and he'll be a serious help to the mets rotation. He got unlucky by the Mets no hitting up to par when he was on the mound. Pelphrey will definately come around.

I'm no Mets fan but is he's 0-4 with a 6.4 ERA, there's no reason he should be starting

I'm sue that there are plenty of hungry young prospects within their minor league organization who would do better....hell, they cant do any worse.
