08:12 AM ET 09.28 | As teams fall over themselves trying to dance with the Nuggets, Carmelo Anthony waits. Meanwhile, the uncertainty that's surrounding teams involved in the talks is starting to take a predictable toll on egos and emotions at training camps. Even if a deal for Anthony never materializes, New Jersey coach Avery Johnson has serious repairs to make with Nets point guard Devin Harris, a league source told Yahoo! Sports on Monday. Harris had been a huge advocate for Johnson with former Nets officials by endorsing the hiring of Johnson over the summer, and a source says Harris is feeling "a little put off" that the coach is so quickly looking to send him out of New Jersey as part of a trade for Anthony.

It's just a personality conflict. Avery Johnson doesn't believe in Harris.

Harris wants the freedom to do the crazy athletic crap that made him an all star but Avery Johnson is a strict fundamentals purist who calls every play so it takes away the creativity and natural instincts that brings out the whoa stuff that will send Harris to the all star game and ultimately affect what his next contract will look like.

At the end of the day when point guard and coach don't get along its disaster -> 12 wins or better. But I think what's really peeving Harris is the fact that he's being sent to Larry Brown... it's jumping from the frying pan into the fire...

Seriously who does Devin think he is? He made the all star game two years ago almost by default. He's a leader of men on a 12 win team. He should welcome a trade to Charlotte at least they made the playoffs last year and its not Newark

I told you idiots last week that Melo wasn't going to go to the Nets. That would have been asinine. Their roster would win 28 games max with Melo. Lopez is a bit overrated and they would have Jordan Farmer as the starting pg.

Why did you mention that A H? He doesn't count. Why do you think Melo is more of a punk? He's let his intentions be known from the start. There is no pretense here. No "The Decision". Could it be you think he's a punk because he wants to come to NY?

um...lets see.....he is trying to force his way out of denver.....if he wants to leave and go to the knicks thats great. AS A FREE AGENT.......shut your damn mouth play out your contract and then go were ever you want to.....The fact that he was going to re sign with the Nets shows he is a idiot! He knows the knicks dont have the assets to get him..if thats really what he wants...shut up and take the pay cut at the end of this season and play with the knicks

QUOTE(#18):

All in all if the nuggets went through with that 4 team deal it would cost them 10 mil.And pay all that to take a step backwards for what?

thats why the deal hasnt went through..if the nets were smart they would take back another nugget player to relieve them off the luxury tax...they just need to take back 4.5 mil....thats a small price to pay to get melo
