08:35 AM ET 09.29 | Aaron Brooks has entered camp in a different mood. The wit as quick as his first step was gone. When discussing his contract Tuesday, Brooks found no humor. Brooks had hoped his breakthrough season and status as the NBA's Most Improved Player award winner would prompt the Rockets to offer a contract extension. Instead, he said the Rockets' unwillingness to work on a new deal for beyond this season is "bothering" him. "It's kind of stressful," Brooks said. ... Asked if he felt he deserves a contract extension, Brooks said, "Oh, no doubt. I deserve at least discussions."

QUOTE(#3):

Right? What's with these guys? They are young rich men getting paid well to play a game for a living that not all that long ago they were playing for free. They need to learn to relax and enjoy it and be happy that they don't have to work for a living like the rest of us.

But... in this economy? C'mon man!!!

These GM's don't get it. A final year in a players contract is optional. I mean what if he breaks his leg or suffers a career ending injury? He has every right to runt like Moss. Rockets better get up on it cos if he pulls a Vince Carter on them their season is over.

Ok, I'll start it...He's coming to NY.

Lmao, you ruined tomoro's story!!

The rockets havent extended anyone thus far....these dudes need to man up and play....

September 29, 2010  09:04 AM ET

If we were making the $$ that they are making I highly doubt we would act as if we have enough money that money doesn't matter. Sure, they get to play a great game for a a ton of cash but it is all relative. If I had a million I would likely want a million more if I could get it. Some people think and deal in ones, others hundreds, thousands and some in millions.

Its not the $ that is the issue.....Its that these players aren't playing out their contracts. The new trend is to start b! Tching prior to the last year and force them out.....this is what is pissing us off.....not the $

agree

Rockets should have given him an extension long ago.

Seems like a stupid move by a normally capable front office.

He is good but undersized and above average pg, no need to rush and extend a contract just yet. Wait and see if anything better comes along.

Just stupid stuff I throw the different font codes in the comment box, you can get any word through if you add the coding in-between the word.

You can add images, you-tube etc.

For example here's why Aaron Brook's deserves to be paid:
