08:45 AM ET 09.29 | Mets fans have seen it before. Carlos Beltran left Tuesday night's game after the fifth inning with what the Mets said was "discomfort" in his surgically repaired right knee, but the center fielder admitted after the game that he felt "pain" in the knee. Beltran will undergo an MRI at the Hospital for Special Surgery Wednesday. Tuesday night marked the first problem he's had in that knee since returning in July after the All-Star break following January surgery.

There are only a handful of games left and the Mets aren't going to be in the postseason. This won't be news unless it spills over into next season.

The Mets aren't going to the postseason next year either, so even if it does spill into next season, it still won't be news.

What the Mets need to do is clean house and start over again.

...starting with ownership, working down through the front office, to the players and might as well **** can the grounds crew too.

Post surgery pain...not really news. But always nice to take a few swipes at mets management.

This is what the Mets get for throwing millions of dollars and a long-term contract at a guy who had ONE GOOD POST SEASON. He was a flash in the pan. And they did it again with Bay. Ugh.

Taking swipes at the Mets in this day and age is like punchin' a kid in a wheelchair......

Whew...I was starting to think I was the only person who enjoys passing the time doing that...welcome to the club....

Rule #1...we don't talk about hitting wheelchair kids

Their biggest mistake...promoting Jerry to manage the ball club. He is the worst. As is Minaya for his signings.

pg. 2

September 29, 2010  12:27 PM ET

this franchise needs to learn from the so bad mistakes through all thisd many years, the mets should change their approach when it has to make deals, deals should be make by two years deal and no more than two, if a player happen to get injury things don't have to get out of reach knowing that those players have been signed for two years only!!!!!
