08:20 AM ET 09.30 | Chad Ochocinco admitted he has dialed back his own chatter, largely due to his output. Said Ochocinco: "I usually start the trash talking but the offense has been really stagnant so I have to back off of that a little bit until we pick up to where we're supposed to be in and do some of the things that's expected of us offensively." When asked what he thought was holding the offense back, Ochocinco put the blame on his shoulders. "It's me. No, I'm serious, everything is me," he said. ... When asked if there was anything wrong with Carson Palmer, Ochocinco said there wasn't and that they would show everything is fine this week.

Yeah, everything will be fine this week. Sure, they're playing CLEVELAND. How could anything not be fine?
Look, Jimmy Carter got sick just flying into Cleveland.

Holmgren and Mangina had to concede that Jimmy Carter probably isn't the answer to their quarterback problems, either. They really had their hopes up.

Actually it's Palmer's fault...but its admirable that Ocho is kinda taking pressure of his QB

Well if an 85 year old ex-president isn't the answer for our QB of the future, I don't know what is. I had my hopes up, too.

Shouldering the blame, Ochocinco? Well played. He knew the media was already fishing for someone tho throw T.O. under the bus already and get some more drama fabricated.

The problem is Carson Palmer... plain and simple. Ocho is always the easy target but CP has consistently not gotten the job done. There's always an excuse for him when it's plain to see he's never performed up to the hype. But hey lets just keep it status quo and blame everyone else.

The biggest problem I see with the Bengals is not Ocho or Palmer--it's the offensive line. For starters, their #1 draft pick at tackle was not even active last week. They took a chance on Smith and so far he has been a dud. They've gathered more targets for Palmer, but without the time to throw the ball that becomes a mute point because the pass protection has not improved with the recent additions.

Folks, i'm a Bengals fan and a season ticket holder, and very proud of it...i love the Bengals! Every team has its problems, not just the Bengals. The Bengals have the 4th toughest schedule this year, and it's way too early to know how it's all going to pan out. I believe they have all the makings of a good team again this year. If the offense gets it together, we may go all the way. Who Dey!!
