08:25 AM ET 09.30 | Saints fans, rest easy. Yes, quarterback Drew Brees has a 'sore' left knee after being hit late in Sunday's loss to the Atlanta Falcons at the Superdome. However, the reigning Super Bowl MVP is "very confident" he'll be just fine. "It's all right," Brees said. "It's gotten a lot better since Monday. My hope is and I'm very confident that by game day it will be fine. It's just a little sore now." Brees said he had an MRI, but stopped short of revealing an official diagnosis.

He's fine. And he better not lose me a pick again.

Not worried about him...although I don't mind seeing the Saints lose. Am I terrible for going against the forever "feel good story"? I don't think so.

For New Orleans sake, you hope so. Imagining the Saints defending there title with out Brees is unthinkable.

Especially with Patrick Ramsey coming off the bench.

If this guy goes down, so do the "Taints".

This is football - you play on Sunday. They make every tweak a big deal these days. Too much info, but then again, too much money.

Deep....very deep

Not at all, it only feels good for so long

But what if the feel good story didnt even include last year when I was hoping they'd get ravaged by the colts? haha

is it true? Has Chico retired?

September 30, 2010  10:25 AM ET

The Saints will go as he goes so they better be sure that he is ready. Bush being out is tolerable but no Brees equals disaster.

Brees will be fine but sooner or later and typically right after a superbowl the injury bug strikes.

Madden Cover Curse. This knee thing will linger...

The only players that can play on monday in the NFL and the day after in most college programs are the guys that did not play.
