08:48 AM ET 09.30 | Trent Richardson wants to set the record straight: Alabama isn't exactly slow. [Richardson] went to the same high school as Hall of Fame running back Emmitt Smith, the former Florida Gator. Richardson also prides himself on being one of those blazing fast players from the Sunshine State. Now at Alabama, he said he takes it personally when friends back home refer to Florida players as fast. Judging by his comments, it's sure to inspire him Saturday night when the top-ranked Crimson Tide hosts seventh-ranked Florida.

Should be a good game, since UFelons has figured out how to move the ball some.

Well, lets just say that Bama was one play away from losing on Saturday to Arkansas. Not impressed with them this year at all. I think Boise would beat them head to head.

Of course Alabama isn't slow. They're in the SEC. They're faster than any team from any other conference. Duh....

From the article: "I do hold a chip on my shoulder to show them boys we're not slow either."

Has he taken freshman english yet?

Sounds like he's just looking for some bulletin board stuff. I mean, who's calling the gumps slow? Certainly not anyone in the media. A couple of old highschool buddies say he's slow and this newspaper runs an article? allsome.

then who did impress you last year?

I try to never defend Texas but they have speed in that state too. Really there is speed everywhere, probably just a little more in the south.

Cheer at end of Vandy game:

You will work for us one day!

Whatever b iatch, OSU, Bama, FSU, etc. recruited every player we have. We have more arrests because 1) we have better recruiting and 2) GPD actually arrests players, not letting them slide like other college towns.

There is full equipment straight line fast and then there is full equipment, knocked around, tired, battered and bruised fast (desire) ... given the two, I'd take the latter. What kind of fast does this Richardson have?

Just because "friends back home" say UF players are fast, is there anything in there that says that you, Trent Richardson, are "slow"? Did it occur to you that maybe UF players are pretty fast, really?

Just a young man with alot to look forward to on Saturday getting himself some gameface stuff working.
