Twins reliever questionable for ALDS

09:34 AM ET 10.01 | With injured players providing a somewhat uncertain setting as the Twins head to the playoffs, they received more unsettling news on that front Thursday. Jon Rauch, who saved 21 games for the Twins earlier this season as Joe Nathan's replacement as closer, is in danger of not making the postseason roster because of a sore left knee. Rauch had fluid drained from the knee Thursday and then took a cortisone shot. His availability for the AL Division Series is questionable. "Rauch is out for the weekend," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said.

the twins are so well run that they could lose 10 guys off the roster and they'd still have a shot.

Wish I had that much confidence...

If the Giants make it to the WS, (not gonna happen) but if they do, will Barry Bonds, the reining home run champion, be invited to throw out the 1st pitch?

Maybe Bonds, Palmiero, and Clemens could all come and sing the National Anthem? Why settle for one scumbag when so many are available?

Palmiero, Sosa, McGwire and Clemens can sing Take Me Out To The Ball Game. Bonds still has to throw out the 1st pitch in AT&T Park, the house that Barry built.

You just might be right Cain; But the current small number of Twins Fans T&R will surely sky-rocket soon after the Minnesota Twins sweep the AL Division Series

Given the way the Twins have played since clinching the division plus their penchant for losing in the ALDS this decade, I don't have much hope for a great postseason. This is their 7th trip to the playoffs since 2000 and they've only won one series and that was way back in 2002. They always have trouble against the Yanks and the Rays are the best road team in baseball. Our starting pitching can be much less reliable than either the Yanks or Rays. Still, I'm hoping they can pull it together but I fear the record is more of a reflection on how bad their division is than anything else.
