Stern won't punish Knicks

NBA Commissioner David Stern said the league would not discipline the Knicks in the wake of a jury's finding that Isiah Thomas, the team president, sexually harassed a former team executive. Stern said he was troubled by reports of sexual harassment at Madison Square Garden, the home of the Knicks. He vowed more sensitivity training across the league. Stern dismissed reports that he would ask Charles Dolan, the chairman of Cablevision, which owns the Knicks, to reduce the day-to-day role of his son, James L. Dolan, the Garden chairman.

Hmmm, yes Commissioner, these "reports" about sexual harassment at the Knicks offices ARE troubling indeed.

Your idea to ignore these "reports" and emphasize sensitivity training league wide is a master stroke of bureaucratic genius

After all, these are only "reports" aren't they? No need to rush to judgment until something happens that indicates they are true......

Am I the only one who sees the solution to ALL Knick problems? Bring back Ewing and Sprewell loooooong-term. Then, and only then, do we have any hope of luring back Charles Smith.

Another stem of how Commish is eroding the underlying foundation of the NBA

Stern should be ashamed of himself. I understand that this was a civil matter, but to simply ignore this is reprehensible. If this isn't conduct detrimental to the league, what is? At the very least, Isiah should have been called on the carpet . Once again, noone held accountable. Another free pass for this arrogant, narcissistic, boor.

What a shock. Stern chose to ignore this rather than do anything about it. Wow.

lt wasn' t the Knicks fault. lsiah said that stuff. lf David Stern were to punish anybody, punish lsiah.

Thomas is an agent for the Knicks...thus they are liable...and ultimately the NBA is liable for this HORRIFIC blunder in judgment, and to not punish the Knicks and Isiah is RIDICULOUS....Stern is ruining the NBA, his time has expired. I SHALL REMAIN NOT A FAN OF THE NBA...LOL!!!!

Isiah should get at least one game suspension for letting his ego leave the bench during the altercation.

Stern needs to be benched. Too busy trying bust refs for walking near a slot machine and players leaving, then returning to a bench. Being the boss means being in charge, and right now, Stern's taking charge of nothing. Just because there isn't a stupid rule on it doesn't mean he's powerless. Powerless or not, he's definitely ball-less and brainless.

Isaiah is the type of dude to try and mack on a broad but a person in his position has to be real careful because askin for some ill na na is an invitation to be extorted
