07:59 AM ET 10.06 | To no one's surprise, Pete Carroll is pumped about Marshawn Lynch. "We're bringing him in here to play a bunch," coach Pete Carroll said. That's the reason Seattle got him in a trade from Buffalo, acquiring the former first-round pick from the Bills in exchange for two draft choices. The Seahawks said those choices were undisclosed, but Fox Sports first reported it was a fourth-round pick in 2011 and a conditional pick in 2012. "This is a move to help us immediately that we know has longevity to it because of his makeup and his age," Carroll said.

Remember, for Lynch, this is a big step up. And, compared to Buffalo, Seattle is both warm and wet. What's not to like?

Yes, Seattle will work Lynch, and he will respond, because he'll think he's been put on a work-release program.

Actually this is a good trade for Seattle, as Lynch, is a pro bowl (2008) running back, who has two 1000 yards seasons. He is only 24 years old and Seattle took a chance on him. Hell a fourth round draft pick is well worth it.

True. The writing was on the wall for Lynch once Spiller was drafted. Carroll Knows the WEST is wide open IE....SUX. The only Team Out of it Is MY 49ers.

Yeah, kind of weird that the Cards, Seahawks and Rams are tie for first, although it is early in the season and that can change in a heartbeat!!!
