Rasmus on the move from St. Louis?

08:18 AM ET 10.07 | While John Mozeliak has insisted Colby Rasmus will not be traded, some teams -- reportedly the Braves, Blue Jays and Diamondbacks -- might be interested in kicking the tires. A report earlier this season suggested that a rift between Rasmus and manager Tony La Russa led to the 24-year-old requesting a trade. With La Russa mulling a return to St. Louis for 2011, rival teams are presumably hoping the Cardinals will reconsider their stance on keeping Rasmus. Even if they don't intend to move their former first-round pick, the Cards "will have ample opportunity to turn down trade offers on Rasmus in upcoming weeks and months."

They already traded away Ludwick. Way to hang onto your young talent.

Colby isn't going anywhere so let those teams drool all they want!

Bolio? Luddy is 32 years old, where Colby is 24. I wouldn't exactly call Luddy "young" talent.

John Mozeliak is and will always go down as the WORST GM ever. He know nothing about sports and has wasted away more talent then most teams have on their roster. Who cares if Tony La Russa doesnt like him....nobody wants Tony the Drunk here anymore. We have given away Ludwick, Rolen, and Danny Haren (just to name a few), he didnt like Ozzie or Lankford...now Rasmus. If they give away Rasmus they are just dumb. Someone needs to give away our idiot GM and coach for a bag of popcorn and a beer

Neither TLR nor MO are responsible for "giving away" Rolen and Haren! Mo traded Luddy for pitching and it's a move that, had the offense done it's job, might have helped us!

Lord you need to get a life or at least know what you are talking about when you start babbling!

TLR is completely responsible for who comes and goes, and mainly who goes. He is a moron who needs to go sooner than later....speaking of going, isnt it about time for your shift to start at the Miss Kitty Lounge where all the **** work

Is that what you think? The team is run by TLR?? Boy, you are just so delusional, it's not funny. They may get his input but I seriously doubt they listen to him 100%.

Since you were in Miss Kitty's, they had to close the place for decontamination but thanks for being so concerned!

Jocketty traded Haren, not Mozeliak.

Rolen got traded because he acted like the biggest crybaby anyone has ever seen.

The Cardinals dumped Lankford because he was fat and out of shape, and that was a complete steal because they got Woody Williams for him. Then, though, they brought him back a couple of years later, so how does it stand to reason that he wasn't liked? If TLR didn't like him, they'd have never brought him back.

Rasmus isn't going anywhere.....this is wishful thinking on other teams parts.

no no no..........don't send him our way. he's all yours:)

red sox fans are dumber than Cubs fans so I am not taking that route.....if you are from "out east" you have an obnoxious accent and are way behind the rest of the world in terms of EVERYTHING (i.e. music/fashion/hair styles/COMMON SENSE)

I don't see Rasmus going anywhere. He is under Cardinal control for at least four years and any trade would probably be more than anyone is willing to pay. Mo isn't going to give him away.

Agreed. There are too many holes to fill already to trade a young, cheap productive CF.

You can get more for an unproven mediocre player that you can limit salary on than you can for a proven mediocre player with more years of service. His value won't be higher than it is now. Unless he stops looking like such a dork.

You can blame it all on Y Molina. If he had a prob with B Phillips, he should have approcached him before the game instead of the cowardly way. Because of his stupidity, LaRue gets a concussion and it lit a fire under the Reds butt the rest of the season.

LaRue getting a concussion had nothing to do with Molina and everything to do with Cueto's cowardly scared little girl kicking act.

I have no idea after seeing the way Cueto acted how you can refer to anyone else as cowardly.

How is Molina acting cowardly for saying something when Phillips is showing disrespect?
