I remember back in the early 80's I was at Texas A&M and Flutie and BC came to town. Nobody had heard of him yet, but they spanked our butts and left. Not longer after that everyone knew who Flutie was. I wonder if Billy is anywhere near as good.

Who is Billy Flutie? I can't believe on the entire BC campus they don't have someone with better QB talent then what they have had so far.

Flutie, the no name underperforming QB that in the age of 3 channel TV captivated a nation by completing the classic Hail Mary, then gets drafted way higher then he should have. Oh well short people need to play sports too.

Esp. in the CFL, where he played most of his "prime" years... and was a "big" star.

And by "bad" you mean "average" (in the early 80s) or "very good" (in the mid- to late-80s, which was after Flutie's time).

Boston College can do no wrong with a Flutie leading the Eagles at Quarterback-- Billy Flutie has Heisman Trophy in his blood.

Problem with BC is they're in the ACC. Who cares if they beat up or loose to Georgia Tech, Florida State, Virginia Tech,etc.?

BC should be playing Pitt, Syracuse, UCONN, Rutgers...... The ACC connection will drag BC down slowly, but surely. Look at Penn State in the Big 10 - They do not belong there.
