08:18 AM ET 10.09 | Rex Ryan on a treadmill is a fixture at the Jets' practice facility in Florham Park as he continues his battle with the bulge. Ryan said yesterday that he has lost 70 pounds since undergoing lap-band surgery during the offseason. Ryan's diet might seem to have little to do with whether or not the Jets beat Brett Favre and the Vikings Monday night at New Meadowlands Stadium. But the message it sends isn't all about Ryan.

I think it's great that he's taking his health seriously. Too many coaches forget about that. However, I just have to feel damn sorry for that treadmill. Yikes!

If there were the least bit of a question... I'd start Cromartie. You don't need a chronically-injured Revis struggling.
Unless it's one of those injuries that isn't going to get better until after the season, I would get him healthy - first and foremost.

Kim Kardashian is moving to New York, according to the celebrity gossip that passes for news these days. Rex is just getting in shape. Unless she's really into musicals, he's already got the inside track on Sanchez.

I think I did read somewhere not that long ago that a planet was recently discovered either in or around the Milky Way, scientists couldn't think of a name for the new planet, so Rex submitted his for consideration.
