I woder if Kenny Smith is wodering what happened to "Stevie Franchise" Kenny Smith has always been a homer for the Rockets. Once Kenny slapped that nick-name on him, Francis got a big old head and thought he was a franchise player.

Perhaps he STILL thinks that he's some kind of a franchise player! Get over it !!

Considering the NFL has 4x the players to talk about I would say the NBA is way worst and they treat their stars with kid gloves. Artest got how many games off for bringing a gun to an arena and showed his teamates? Plexico got suspened for years for dropping a gun out of his pants at a club. How long was Kobe suspended for Rape alligeations but Big Ben gets 6 games ... common man. NBA stars got to the locker room with a cut - NFL players play with broken hands ... common man.

jgb, you can't put Iverson in the same category as Marbury and Francis. Iverson may be flawed, as many people are, but he fulfilled his potential and will go down as one of the top 25 or so players of all time. He is a first-ballot HOF-er. Francis and Marbury are just straight-up knuckleheads. Iverson is a complicated dude. They aren't the same.

Also, how do you get arrested for just "resisting arrest"? Don't you have to do something that would warrant an arrest prior to them arresting you in the first place?

Francis sucks....this is the same cry baby that was drafted by the VANCOUVER Grizzles and demanded to be traded because "it rained too much" And now look at him...no one wants him and instead of playing in North America he has to go to EUROPE now!!! I guess Vancouver doesnt seem that bad now huh??? hahah u deserve it you selfish piece of crap.

How can you be taken into custody for resisting arrest? Don't they have to arrest you for something first?

Nothing against the police... I'm just French, and I grapple with the English language poorly at times.
