Bruins' answers to QB woes

Osaar Rasshan was recruited as a quarterback and trained two seasons to be a UCLA quarterback before moving to wide receiver over the summer. He might return to quarterback as the Bruins struggle at the position because of injuries and inexperience. Ben Olson's injury is still being called a sprain, although he was expected to undergo an MRI exam today. Cowan, Dorrell said, "is not quite healthy." The Bruins have two weeks before playing No. 2 California to come up with an answer.

"werebranked" did not compute, Ground Control; no laughter detected.

"Branked," you know. Like, "you branking idjit." I think its Australian (or maybe south Chinese).

We need a systems check on the George W. Watson unit, Major.

Brank you, Major Tom.

October 8, 2007  12:58 PM ET

Too late, Watson. I was branked by Ground Control over Uranus.

Does it really matter???? ucla sucks!

October 8, 2007  03:37 PM ET

Those Bruins wouldn't want to mess with us.

See what we did to New Mexico Highlands?

October 8, 2007  04:20 PM ET

Thought you had Klingons orbiting Uranus, Major Tom. Then again GC never had any taste (or smell or sight).

October 8, 2007  04:30 PM ET

Give yourself a hand. GW.

It don't matter who starts for the Bruins. They lost to a winless team that had one of the worst or if not the worst statistical offense in division 1. There is no good in that. I say start this Raashan kid and let him run loose. If he was moved to receiver he must be athletic enough to run QB sweeps and draws.

DY,
It's true: I've got to hand it to me.

As if the Utah loss was not bad enough.

A total embarassment in the Rose Bowl........more losses to follow.
