11:00 AM ET 10.10 | Mike Singletary fired his offensive coordinator after three games, ran off a KPIX interviewer after one on-air blowup and chased off all Alex Smith competition before the season began. If his winless 49ers don't win one of the next two to three games, Singletary might be the next one removed from the premises, according to a team source familiar with the tenuous situation.

Unless Mike is going to wear that shirt she's wearing, probably not much.

You could sense the disaster that are the 49ers are becoming when they made Vernon Davis the highest paid TE in the NFL, style over substance wins out in the west coast.

Yeah, but on the plus side we're all too mellow to get too bummed out by the crappy play of our football teams.

Actually, I think the more likely outcome is that he will be set free.

"But ... but ... he ... he was a GREAT player and ... and that automatically means Singletary will be a great coach too!"I should dig up some of the old threads on him being hired and how probably 90% of the people on here said it was the best coaching hire EVER - because as a Bear he blah blah blah ...Hell ... I remember people saying how great a coach he was after his first season where he went an UNBELIEVABLE 8-8. Yes .... a mediocre .500 record is suddenly great (as long as Singletary is the coach). And this was after he went an PHENOMENAL 5-4 (yes ... won ONE more game than he lost) the season he replaced Nolan. Can people now stop homering over how great a coach or how great a GM someone is gonna be based on his accomplishments as a player?Even Michael Jordan (arguably the best basketball player ever) sucked as a GM - anybody remember Kwame Brown? You'd think that would have put an end to this annoying habit years ago.Oh ... and shouting matches with players? And skipping post game hand shakes when your team loses?Stay classy Mike ...

And I bet they are better coaches and GM's then you will ever be

-Signed I home for no one!

"Al Bundy takes the snap and fakes a handoff to Al Bundy. He drops back and unloads a bomb to WR Al Bundy who makes a leaping catch over cover corner Al Bundy. One juke move on the safety over the top, Al Bundy and Bundy scores!!!! Al kicks the extra point and it's 7-0."

When you're 0-4, everyone on the team is worried about his job.

Except, of course, for the owner and GM who are responsible for this mess in the first place.

Lose ANY of the next two games (Eagles & Raiders) and Sings a goner.
I can see a win today against the Eagles, but stranger things have happened.
I hate to see him fired but its been his fault, and the owners
