Devils longing for The Trap after winless start?

Do they have enough players to run a trap? ;)

I see your point.............but I'd rather be bored and winning rather than excited and losing. Although, I don't mind seeing Lou sweat for a while (8 or 10 seasons?).

For the Devils and their fans, it's obviously fine if they are winning. I just didn't take to trap hockey much.

Couldn't agree more and I've said it on these pages.

The Devils iced only 15 skaters Monday night because of injuries and a season-opening roster shortened by the salary cap.

AHem, I think everyone knows what the real problem is.

I loved them booing Martin for leaving via free agency when they should be booing Kovulchuck and Lou for the cap mess they are in.

There's reasons the cap should go away but when you're 5 years into the salary cap era NHL and you cripple your team with that contract there is no one to blame but Lou. Aren't they paying Rolston 5mil too? Now NJ is going to have a real mess because they have troubles putting fans in the seats when they are trapping (winning) and now if they change styles and lose it's going to further hurt attendence.

Yeah, I am sure Martin is losing sleep over it. ;)

I would just like to state what I've seen multiple people point out previously and what everyone knows, Vanderbeek is responsible for Kovy, Lou just had to do his best to minimize impact(The deals to Rolston etc, yes Lou's fault as well as not making the moves over the summer). However before people talk about trying to go back into the trap, I would love to see the Devils you know put someone infront of the opposing goalie, screening the goalie is a wonderful way to score goals, they should really try it sometime.
