09:05 AM ET 10.16 | ChicagoBreakingSports.com asked reporters if Michael Jordan could score 100 points in today's NBA. If Jordan said he would score more points under today's rules, then Michael Jordan would've scored more points. Basically, virtually anything Jordan said he would accomplish, he accomplished. Such was the tenacity and talent of the Greatest Player Of All Time. So many of Jordan's teammates talked about how the player with the most talent also possessed the most competitiveness. That rare combination propelled Jordan to dizzying heights. And that same combination would send his scoring average higher today. Without hand-checking on the perimeter, MJ would've gotten to the rim at will early in his career and would've been even more effective in the post with his turnaround jumper later in his career.

Only if the NBA officials of today allowed him to "walk" like he did when he played...

Don't think so, Bro.

MJ could have scored 100 THEN if he had wanted.

October 16, 2010  09:51 AM ET

With the way refs call the game today, he would drop 100 at the foul line.

No.

I think today's perimeter defense is better. The Zones are operated more thoroughly and while i think defenses were a lot tougher back then because of the hard play, i think today's defenses are smarter. I don't think Jordan could score 100 on today's Boston team and if he did, he would be playing right into their hands and he would lose every game. I don't even think he could score 60 on the 08' C's, 10' Lakers, 04' Pistons, & 05 Spurs.

Today's championship defenses are designed to beat 1 man shows.

Now if Jordan played the game the right way and didn't try to score 100, the Bulls would SMASH every team in today's NBA by 20 or more.

Sure, I mean he once scored 81 points in a game. Oh wait - that was Kobe!

Check out Bill Simmons Book of Basketball for the reason the Bulls won 72 games, expansion. If he couldn't do it then in the ultimate watered down league there is no way he could do it know with the foreign players adding to the talent pool.

If Kobe scored 81 back in 2006 surely Jordan could score 100 today.

MJ could double that

But if jordan was to play right now he would have to rely heavily on experience because hes not as athletic anymore

Today Yes maybe a little lower but with all his shots and his drivng to the basket and all the foul shots. and it depends on how the team is to because if the team is garbage he is taking over.
