10:38 AM ET 10.16 | Already without Brian Rafalski (knee), Kris Draper (groin), Justin Abdelkader (ribs) and Jonathan Ericsson (back), and knowing Johan Franzen (head) wasn't going to be available after getting elbowed Thursday, the Wings held their breath during Friday's practice as Danny Cleary crashed to the ice. Cleary was going full speed after a puck when he stepped on Niklas Kronwall's stick. Cleary slammed into the boards feet first and immediately screamed in pain. "It looked bad," coach Mike Babcock said. Trainer Piet Van Zant rushed onto the ice and helped Cleary up after a few minutes. The mood remained grim until news came after practice that Cleary was fine. "We can't afford any more injuries," Babcock said. Cleary's knee was swollen and sore, but he wasn't concerned he'd miss tonight's game against the Coyotes.

The Wings are a great team but over a long season may result in only being a good one.

They have been hobbled since during their last Cup appearance, the reason they didn't go back to back IMO

Going to be fine. Lots of time to heal up.

THIS IS GETTING FRIGGIN OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How many spam adds do we have here today????? 30 between the 3, or close to. Even at 20, they still are taking up more space then the people who come to enjoy the site.

There is nothing more aggravating than coming on , and seeing a new comment or 6, and all of them spam, right after you've experienced lagging.

This is B.S!!!! It's mainly Canadians who come on these NHL threads, and yet the advertisers think that we want American stolen goods more than Americans do??? That is highly unlikely!
