Iverson haggling over Turkish fines

09:09 AM ET 10.17 | Allen Iverson is negotiating to play for Besiktas of the Turkish League, which has offered him a $2 million contract. The haggling point concerns the amount of fines he can accrue, which means he plans to miss games or practices (insert line here) before he even lands in Istanbul. For a player trying to prove to NBA teams that he is more than just an aging flake, Iverson would be best advised to go to Turkey and just play. He is no longer a major attraction, even in Europe.

A leopard can't change his spots. This is who Iverson is, and the reason he's in Europe instead of Philadelphia.

Don't think this is a good fit.

Well changing the subject... I checked out most bball blogs and pundit webpages...and most have LAL vs Dallas in the WCF with SA having a outside shot....and on the other side they have Heat vs Boston with Orlando having a outside shot. Thoughts????

SA replaces dallas easily but i would love the thunder to be in the western conference finals. and the eastern conference finals sounds about right unless boston is in bad health or a younger team beats us...

You want the Thunder there or you really think they will be there?

i think they have a good chance getting that far. They have the new best superstar in the NBA in durant, some good pieces in the starting five like westbrook, and harden. I think they have a legitimate shot
