08:24 AM ET 10.18 | Idle next week, Florida, which lost to Mississippi State this past weekend, will have a good deal of time to make changes prior to playing Georiga on Oct. 30 game vs. Georgia. [This past Saturday, the Gators] were held to their fewest points at home since a 36-7 loss to LSU in 2002. Asked if he thought an overhaul of the offense is in order, Meyer replied, "I think so." But that wasn't Alabama or LSU applying the shackles Saturday. That was Mississippi State. That was the Gators' homecoming opponent.

Lost, confused, and unproductive.

Probably better than Tebow.

This offense is in some serious trouble. And I am hearing some of last year's recruits want out if they don't get to play more. Total lack of leadership from the players and coaches. This train wreck may not get better any time soon.

I bet the offense would be better, but Cam can't block blitzing linebackers AND catch passes AND do play QB all at the same time.

Maroon, White, fight fight fight! We're Mississippi State, wooooooooo (Rick Flair style) damn right!!!!

Trey Burton should be UF's starter if they are going to stick to the Tebow offense. Otherwise, change to a more passer friendly scheme to help Brantley.

@FJJ - My wife and I were saying the same thing about Cam as we watched the Auburn and UF games. As I said after I saw him during the MSU/AU game, Cam Newton is an absolute beast! Dude is as good of a college QB as we'll ever see.

They'll be fine...

... this year isn't very different than Tebow's sophomore year when they lost 4 games.

Are fans forgetting the struggles the offense (and team) endured during Tim's sophomore year?

Nice game, KD. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right?

I think MSU's last pass attempt was in the middle of the 2nd quarter.

I don't want to go digging up old stats, but I don't think the offense was THIS bad. Going into this week, we were ranked 97th or something. We are on the wrong wide of the turnover battles ... we don't have a leader ... it just is not a pretty picture.

They'll lose more than 4 games this year if they don't fix that offense.

October 18, 2010  09:28 AM ET

Urban should have fixed that offense three games ago.

3 in a row is bad, last time that happened was 1988. Two straight home losses. The 2007 team had bright spots on it and had plenty of offense. Hopefully, the offense can get healthy and the defense can stop somebody at crucial times.

Glass half full: UF still has a shot at the SEC East title.

2 things.

1. Florida lost a lost of leadership from last year. The new guys have not seemed to take over the leadership role.

2. Yes, Urban needs to rethink the offense. People have been saying that since the 1st game, but Florida was winning. Then, they started losing and Urban has an epiphany.
