Best bet is that Joe Torre's next stop as manager will be the St. Louis Cardinals.

I'll have to agree with cardsfan27 - I'd like to see the manager's position filled by someone from within the organization

Let him be the manager of the Pirates. Then will can find out if he is a good manager or just had talent.

Next stop: Milwaukee Brewers.

Still using that Brewers theory, huh? Pettitte going, too? you never know. :) I tried floating that rumor yesterday. It never got of the ground.

Try one of these splendid devices at the left, 4192jc.

It will get it "off" the ground in seconds.

Next stop the Bronx.
George seems to be slipping, alot.

October 11, 2007  10:13 AM ET

I'd like to see him come back.......as long as ownership is going to spend money for him. His first time in STL, the brewery wouldn't spend squat on pitching so he had sub-standard talent.

October 11, 2007  10:41 AM ET

This ain't happening! He'll be back with the Yankees, they still want to win and all the players want him back!

October 11, 2007  12:08 PM ET

Who works for the St. Paul Pioneer Press? Mickey Mouse?

I'm not a Yankee fan but a major Torre admirer. However his managing skills in the NL will be worse than our dear Willie's. No way, no how.

Yes, Torre did so well in his FIRST stint as manager of the Cards...love the recycling you white collar muthas!!!!!!!!!

October 11, 2007  12:22 PM ET

They are just following Bud Selig's edict to go green....recycling managers saves on carbon dioxide buildup, paper, and fecal accumulation.

No doubts a Canadian wrote that groundbreaking piece.....PIECE O'CRAP

Pamela Anderson is a Canadian, although her jugs were born in the Silicon Valley, I believe.

And she's taken acting direction in the San Fernando valley.
