08:13 AM ET 10.19 | Milton Bradley and new Mariners manager Eric Wedge, it was reported Monday, have a history, but Bradley seems willing to let it go. Bradley, [a Mariners source said], was positive about Wedge's hiring in his text messages, and said he didn't mind if his sentiment was made public. In one, Bradley wrote, "Whatever took place was six or seven years ago and I'm over it." Bradley also wrote, "He was a disciplinarian and I felt our team lacked discipline last year. Hopefully, he instills some of that." For the Mariners, that's a very encouraging reaction by Bradley.

What difference does Milton Bradley's opinion of Wedge make? Bradley had problems with him in the past. Who hasn't he had problems with? Why does a middle of the road talent like Bradley rate any ink about his opinion? Would the Mariners be any worse off without him?

Better keep you're mouth shut. Wedge.... if not, Mr Bradley will deliver a reverse double fisted butter churn to your tailpipe.

Very true. I blame the Indians front office for many of the ills that be-fell the tribe in the last 2 years selling more and taking on so many high ceiling prospects that really werent ready for their fill those roles they were given in Cleveland. They will get there- but I think Wedge was more of a sacrificial lamb to appease Slink...

Indeed Slink has an unexplained rank with the Tribe brass. Little known fact is Slink convinced Hank Greenberg to trade Roger Maris just for spite
