07:03 AM ET 10.20 | As Jerry Jones spoke Sunday night, he said he is no longer optimistic. On Tuesday, everything was a little brighter. "We're being dominant in our fronts in many cases. Dominant. And you win the game usually when you are playing that well," Jones said. "We took the tape apart yesterday and looked at the play of every player, looked at his effort, looked at the things that we're doing and those usually win ballgames. If you keep putting that foot in front of the other, I believe in these guys, I believe in the coaching staff, I believe in Wade Phillips. I believe we can turn this thing around. While it's going against us we can make all the things happen that we wanted to do this year."

This is a highly credible statement from an owner who will fire his head coach immediately after the last game of the season.

Nothing makes the rest of the NFC happier Jerry. Keep up the good work.

I believe, I believe, I believe.....

Jerry, I believe you are delusional.

And no, they're not going to invite you to be on Survivor next season, no matter how much of a loudmouth you are.

October 20, 2010  07:35 AM ET

So, what is he supposed to say? That everything is hopeless? The season's over? Jesus Christ people, he's the owner and it's his job to remain optimistic.

Cripes! JJ looks like he's been let out of the nursing home to attend Al Davis' funeral. Scary looking!

October 20, 2010  07:45 AM ET

Thank you, Texas Rangers. One more. You can do it.

As we say in Boston, I root for 2 teams. The Red Sox, and whoever is playing the Yankees.

They let Al Davis out of the funeral home to visit Jerry at the nursing home.

October 20, 2010  07:48 AM ET

If nothing else, Jerry still believes he'll have the best seats in the house on Super Bowl Sunday.

FUNNY!

GO RANGERS!!! What Jerry is really saying is he believes in Wade for the rest of the season since he steadfastly refuses to fire a coach mid-season. After that...Adios, don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya on your way out.

October 20, 2010  08:00 AM ET

I guess Jones also believes in fairies, the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus.

"While it's going against us we can make all the things happen that we wanted to do this year."

Someone mees to give Jerry a Mini Mental Status Exam because he needs to be tested for Dementia.

October 20, 2010  08:01 AM ET

mees=needs

October 20, 2010  08:03 AM ET

Yeah, he believes Phillips knows what his fate will be if (or rather when) the Cowboys do not make the playoffs...

Maybe, but you gotta admit that a public statement by the owner or gm is the kiss of death,

Impossible. Al Davis CAN NOT DIE. The Crypt Keeper is immortal. The cowgirls however are dead.

And, he'd believe in the Tooth Fairy, too.

If he had any teeth left.

The kiss of death

October 20, 2010  08:18 AM ET

I believe in him so much that he will be selling doughnuts to the cheap seats.

October 20, 2010  08:19 AM ET

The cowboys are just undisciplined and need to grow up!
