Cuban: Fighting with the stars?

Mark Cuban is not an extreme fighter, at least not yet. But the man known for thinking outside the box might someday be inside the ring trading blows with another celebrity. The Mavericks owner is exploring a spin-off involving his latest ventures -- HDNet Fights and ABC's Dancing With the Stars. Cuban sees mixed martial arts as an emerging business with lots of potential at the gate and on TV. One key is developing a franchise that features its fighters and treats them like professional athletes, he said.

Mark just needs to buy the Los Angeles Lakers and put an end to the Dr Buss madness. Can you imagine having some energy and enthusiasm in the Lakers management again. Wow! Think about it Mark! Laker fans would love you! Talk about thinking outside the box!

Please, please don't sent this creep to LA. Cuban has no class. He's anti-American, a lousy owner and a loser. No matter how much he interfers, his team doesn't win. Keep him off the west coast!

Cuban is a loser. He whines and cries when his team loses, conducts personal "studies" when league policy goes astray (see synthetic ball conterversy", and runs his mouth when his team wins. He is so busy trying to win dancing contest and buy the Cubs that he has allowed Dallas to have the worst offseason in the league. I loved that look on his face in last year's playoffs when Golden State upset Dallas. I don't like Dallas at all, but if Cuban was to leave, I would probably be a fan of the team. That's how bad he is.

Cuban is a different breed of owner than the the typical NBA owner but he is a great owner. He allows the team to spend money as the GM seems fit and the players love playing in Dallas. Cuban set the whole corporation's environment, which is top notch. And yes, a team is a corporation. He is outspoken but that is not always bad. He has helped make the NBA better because he forced Stern and the other owners to look at the league from a different angle, which is the only way to make improvements.

How is he anti-American? He is living the American dream. He made a ton of money in a startup company and decided to use it to invest in something that he has a passion for. When he made money off the Dallas team, he is trying to buy a team that is that is besides the Yankees and the Red Sox, is the most popular team across the nation, which is an automatic money machine especially in Cuban's hands since you know he will think of things that other owners would not. That is why he will never be approved as a MLB owner.

If player movement is based on the owner, lets see what Dallas has done. They resigned 2 solid bench players in Stackhouse and George. Also they drafted a solid player in 6'11" Nick Fazekas. Look at this team, Dirk, Howard, Harris, Terry, Stackhouse and they have serviceable center in Dampier. There are no centers in the market to upgrade with that much. They win every year for a reason, Cuban is a winner and I want a winner since he sets the organization's mentality.
