After Brandon Coutu nailed a 37-yard field goal in the final seconds to beat Vanderbilt 20-17 in front of 39,773 at Vanderbilt Stadium, players from Georgia (5-2, 3-2), a big boy in the SEC East, danced on top of the Vanderbilt logo at midfield, drawing the ire of coach Mark Richt.

Get-em Mark..your right..UGA is better than that. It's called RESPECT..To Vandy fans, I also apoligize.

October 14, 2007  10:39 AM ET

This could be the highlight of the year for UGA so just as well they celebrated, even if it was against a so so football school.

October 14, 2007  10:56 AM ET

Richt probably gave them a earful when they got in the locker room.....that's just not what i would expect from the Dawgs. i'm glad they won, but that was not a classy move.

October 14, 2007  11:12 AM ET

they better get more than an earful, they better be running the stadium stairs at 6 am

October 14, 2007  11:27 AM ET

or how about pushing the bus back to Athens..that's always a good one.

October 14, 2007  11:55 AM ET

a so so football school?. Vanderbilt is a WOMANS basketball school.

October 14, 2007  11:57 AM ET

Mark R can hit. maybe if he played we could win more

October 14, 2007  12:12 PM ET

Congrats to Richt for being the classy guy that he is.

October 14, 2007  01:39 PM ET

What is it with these idiot players all wanting to dance on the other teams logo? Are their lives so pathetic that they think this has some great meaning? Five years from now, 99.9999% of the country won't remember who these guys are anyway.

October 14, 2007  04:01 PM ET

Logos are supposed to be sacred. The Vandy teamd should have put their helmuts back on and planted everyone of the bulldogs on their a#%es. Did I miss something? Was this the National Championship game? Show some class 'Dogs.

October 14, 2007  05:15 PM ET

Hey, the guys got a little carried away in the excitement. CMR set them straight; they won't do it again; end of story. Let's move on.

October 14, 2007  05:16 PM ET

Good for Coach Richt. Young men need to be taught to be respectful whether they win or lose.

October 14, 2007  06:13 PM ET

I always knew coach Richt was a classy guy. I really appreciated his taking a stand last night.

He is right and more teams should adopt his stance on class and integrity.

Way to go Coach...

October 14, 2007  11:45 PM ET

I think he's just embarrassed his team celebrated after a win against Vanderbilt.

October 15, 2007  02:25 AM ET

Im glad to see Coach Richt has class...I recall Auburn players not only dancing on LSU's midfield "eye of the Tiger" but Coach Tuberville joining them with a cigar in his mouth.....Auburn was destroyed the next time they played LSU.

October 15, 2007  09:44 AM ET

Georgia celebrating over a win against Vandy? ....I think the 5th seal has been broken.....behold the apocalypse is nigh...

October 15, 2007  11:15 AM ET

i can't believe these n00bs danced espeically after the **** whooping Tennessee put on them. They need to learn about something called humility.

October 15, 2007  12:23 PM ET

To UGA...it was VANDY!!! Are you serious? I cannot wait for Florida, Kentucky, and Auburn to put you in your place!!! You might be lucky to win 2 more games this year...have fun sucking!!!

Richt is the only thing good about UGA...the NCAA needs more people like him.

October 15, 2007  02:25 PM ET

Maybe they were trying to dance with them not against them. Ya know, kind of like a tribute...

October 15, 2007  04:28 PM ET

Wow, definition of 'irony' by WarEagle04. Yes, we're proud that our coach has more class than you, fool. And before you go counting your victories before achieving them, I suggest you go watch a replay of last year's UGA- AU game.
