10:52 AM ET 10.24 | Chelsea's billionaire owner Roman Abramovich ruled out a move for Wayne Rooney after the striker expressed his interest to leave Old Trafford. According to the Daily Mirror, it is believed that Abramovich would have only entered the bidding war for the 25-year-old England international if he ran down the last 18 months of his contract at Manchester United to become a free agent.

Rooney... what a complete t_o_o_l.
Rooney: "Oh, I want to leave Man Utd because they are not committed to winning but then I decide to sign a new contract with them only days later. Why? I don't know, nothing has changed except maybe the bumped up the salary a bit. So what if almost alientate my entire fan base by being a complete t_w_a_t...."
