07:59 AM ET 10.26 | Tony Romo, he of the now broken dreams of a complicated season in Dallas, will now be watching the season unfold from the sidelines. Obviously, the Cowboys are going to go out of their way to build up Jon Kitna now that he takes over for the injured Tony Romo. But no one was more effusive than receiver Roy Williams. "Tony is our starter, but Jon is just as good," said Williams, who enjoyed the best season of his professional career when Kitna started in Detroit. "We are going to work this week in practice so we can get the timing down with the receivers. But I have complete faith in him. I have played with him for three years and I know how good he is."

Hahahahahahaha!!!!
Tough? Put it this way: The historically woebegone Texas Rangers could win more games in October and November than the five-time Super Bowl champion Cowboys. And with the Super Bowl coming to Cowboys Stadium in February, it's all but certain the host team won't be playing. Worse still, this once-promising season is now linked to 1989 - the year Jones bought the team, Jimmy Johnson took over as coach and the Cowboys went 1-15; that was the last time Dallas started 1-5. At least back then everyone knew the team was lousy.

At 1-5, that's helpful...
3-13 sounds about right for this thing right now.

Ok so I was off a few points in my prediction (Giants 30-17). The result was still the same. Now the stupid playoff talk can finally end. At least get Stephen McGee in there to see what he has.

Williams had better watch his tongue. Tony will be back. I hope that was a motivational ploy to rally behind Jon.

Yep...
Because if that bag is empty, then this team needs a QB.
Badly!

Romo is a decent QB, not a great QB. A QB change could spark the team, but doubt it.

hahaha...NO. The good news is the Rangers are still playing, the Stars are off to a good start and the Mavs "should" be better. Jury still out on the latter.

the cowboys may have some players but it takes a coach to know how to use 'em... Jones is an idiot if he doesn't blow this unit up; they're just useless now...

What has Romo ever done except have some hot girlfriends? Kitna for Roma isn't going to make a whole lot of difference. I agree Chuckie seemed to be dvertising his availability...

The question really is...is he an upgrade over what's here? then again...what wouldn't be an upgrade?

Then again, Gruden was Al Davis' "Do Boy" out in Oakland for a while, so he may be a good coach for Jerry.

At least he would hold players accountable.

So much pressure was put on the Boys at the start of the season. You have Jackwagon Jones running the show saying he was going to host the SB with his Cowboys leading the way. Now, maybe everyone can just relax. There are 10 left. Maybe they can win one more.
