Bears' season on verge of unraveling

07:58 AM ET 10.26 | Even in a bye week, the Bears can be taking steps backward. How you divvy up blame between bad coaching and worse [Jay] Cutler the last two losses matters less than what those defeats meant. If the obituary for the 2010 season is written after a fourth straight year without making the playoffs, the cause of death will be traced to the last two Sundays at Soldier Field. With the AFC East foes looming and the Vikings and Packers lurking, the opportunity portion of the Bears' schedule has passed. The Bears are idle Sunday. But they may have just completed their (good)bye week.

His postgame press conference was incredibly lame. he should have handed a contract to Hall to sign on as a Bears receiver. Dumb a$$

That contract extension the Bears gave Cutler after the end of last season is going to make it tough for Ted Phillips to dump him anytime soon.

This should be Cutler's media photo. Either that or something with him chasing Hall.

Somebody has to win the NFC North. Ain't gonna be the Lions. Ain't gonna be the Vikes, either. Green Bay was supposed to waltz into the Superbowl, but injuries and disappointing play all around leave them at 4-3, same as the Bears. The good news is that they don't play the quarterback-eating Giants until after Christmas.
Don't get me wrong. Duh Bears not only poop in the woods, they do it on the field, too. Yeah, they won their first 4 games on luck, but right now they may be the only lucky team in the division.
