Tennessee is hurtin' for certain! Here are some quotes from Derek Dooley postgame. I know Saban has been criticized for comments, but can anyone remember someone using the Germans for an analogy when they are the "good guys"?

That quote will haunt him forever.

Bray is gonna be something special...next year. If he's not broken in half before then.

I can see what he was going for with that quote, but really? Is comparing anything to Nazis ever a good idea?

It is the PC world we live in. I don't think this is that big of a deal. It is not comparing a loss to 9/11.

The Vol O-Line is playing a whole lot better than they were even a few games ago, and should be better now that Jerquari Schofield will be back. (I don't know if Cody Pope will ever play again-- I think Dooley may be right that players need red meat to recover from stingers.)
Simms can manage the game pretty well, but Bray gives the Vols the best chance to win games. Sure, Bray will make mistakes, but so does Simms. I'll take the player with potential.

As a Vol fan, I will say that this season has only been slightly less excruciating than the Spanish Inquisition.

No, they HAD a vegetarian center (although he said he eats fish sometimes, so technically he calls himself a "pescetarian"). However, Cody Pope was a starter for one game-- he got hurt with a shoulder stinger against UT-Martin and hasn't played since.

That is just wrong. Having a Veg punter or kicker OK, but an Offensive linemen. That is just wrong.

Agreed. Once Bray and his receivers get on the same page they're gonna be good. Looking at Bray, I can't for the life of me figure out where all that arm strength is coming from. The boy can zip the ball downfield.
