Kiffin working off blueprint for slowing Oregon

08:23 AM ET 10.27 | Monte Kiffin, who laughed off the idea that his Tampa 2 defense would shut down Oregon, does, however, believe the Ducks have been slowed. Kiffin said Arizona State's 42-31 loss to Oregon is the most revealing game tape he watched to prepare for the Ducks. "I think that game in general, if you study it will surprise a lot of people," Kiffin said. "Oregon punted 11 times in that game. (Arizona State) forced 11 punts (but) they turned the ball over seven times. They had to go out there seven times with turnovers. If there is a blueprint for how to play them, they did it."

D.C., I don't know? I think they do. IMO, I think USC wins, but I've been wrong before (many times).

Know they are limited in numbers and was just wondering about injuries. Depth usually starts rearing its ugly head this time of year.

Monte struggled last year against spread offenses. OT, Ice, have you noticed any of the same so far this year?

Spammers are out in force today.

Oregon is a very athletic fast pace confident team, much like Notre Dame, and they use a no huddle wrap speed spread offense just like the Irish,, so this should be a good warm up game for the Trojans to prepare for the Nov 27th battle in the Coliseum.
Good luck Trojans, you guys can do this,, MAKE IT SO !

I think their offense has some depth, not too sure about the defense. IMO, I think USC's offense can move the ball against the Ducks, but not sure they can stop the Duck's offense, might be a shootout. We'll see.

Did his dad copy it into Lane's coloring book?

Virginia perhaps, or Minnesota maybe?,, the Golden Gophs did give em one hell of a scare ya know.

I wonder if Lane had to take one his socks off to be sure that Oregon punted 11 times in that game?

October 27, 2010  09:38 AM ET

Oregon 52 USC 17.

USC (left) is going to score a lot more than that. Oregon's offense runs so quickly that their defense doesn't have time to rest up.
Granted, the Vols didn't score much against them, but that's because Simms is the QB and the O-linemen were all on their 1st or 2nd start of their careers. USC (left) has a LOT better O-line than Tennessee did and Barkley is WAAAAAAAYYYY better than Simms.
Also, if the Trogan offense is at least somewhat productive, as I expect, then the Ducks won't have time to score 50.
