08:15 AM ET 10.27 | In one of the NBA's more anticipated openers, the Celtics defeated the Heat 88-80 Tuesday. Not much can be learned about the Heat from Tuesday's first road game other than this season is not going to be as easy as many expected when it was first announced that LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh would sign together. "This was one of 82," Wade said. "Sorry if everyone thought we were going to be 82-0. It's not happening." ... The Celtics played like the defending Eastern Conference champions. The Heat played like a group of players still unsure of their roles. Wade returned to the lineup for the first time since the Oct. 5 preseason opener. "There's going to be a process with this," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "It's not time to panic."

I loved seeing their Asst Coach getting a technical, if they indeed cut down on the player complaining etc then I might actually watch some BB this season.

It's a jump shooting team... Will work on regular season but will not work in the playoffs... C's and Hawks exposed the Heat's weakness... No inside presence...

While that's true the real problem is Lebron... he'll get his team but the rest of the team will suffer. I bet in two season's Miami will be contemplating trading him. The guy is cursed. Until him and his mum seek out who is dad is and give him what he's due for misplacing his sperm Lebron shall remain cursed. Kevin Durant is the annoited son of the league...

Just hope they didn't think Boston was gonna lay down in there house.

And the excuses starts... It's King LeFake's team... Cleveland all over again... Too many holes especially low post plays...

Boston toyed with them... they didn't even play hard. Every team has a chance against Miami as they're just another perimeter team as noted above. Breaking bulls record my ****... where's that moron Jeff Van Gundy... he needs to be fired for saying that...

I think its funny that they talk about how if one guy is off the others can step up, sure wade was off an injury but they just played iso basketball when they tried to rotate it was terrible. they got the wrong 3 guys, why get 3 guys who need the ball to be effective dum dum dum

actually i was kinda shocked by the Cs sloppyness. they could have beat mia by 20 easily if they held onto the ball a lil better. And Shaq is gonna be a beast, perkins might not get his job back
