08:02 AM ET 10.28 | Carmelo Anthony addressed his interest, or lack thereof, in staying with the Nuggets on Wednesday. "They want to sit down and talk, but my thing is it's way beyond this year," Anthony told Yahoo! Sports after scoring a team-high 23 points in the Nuggets' victory. "It ain't got nothing to do with the new GM, Josh, the players. For me, I feel it's a time for change. If I do nothing now, I'm never going to do anything. I feel like my time is now to make a decision if I want to leave or if I want to stay." League sources still expect the Nuggets to try to trade Anthony rather than risk losing him for nothing when he can opt out of his contract at the end of the season.

The only thing that Melo has changed over his first 7 years in the league........is from cornrows to a uptown no nonsense fade....now if only Artest could get a decent barber.....life would have some balance.

btw...did you see the Lee have a bad outing last night? called it....

He won't get traded until the dead line so get use to this story weekly for the next couple of months.

"If I do nothing now, I'm never going to do anything."
Eloquently stated.
He HASN'T done anything of significance so far since his arrival.

Wrong.... Vince constantly denied wanting to be traded, and he actually signed a 6 year extension before asking out the following year... plus I can't see Carmelo tanking games and tipping opposing teams off on plays just to get outta town.... Vince is and always will be a beeyatch!!!

Don't forget about telling the media in TO that he would no longer be dunking the ball (I guess in a lame attempt to piss off the fans)...What a ****...

October 28, 2010  10:23 AM ET

Ummm, Carmilo, you're the one who can make that decision whether you want to stay or go. Either sing an extension or don't.

Does he really expect to do anything relevant going to a team like New Jersey or New York? Good luck with that...
