07:59 AM ET 10.28 | Rookie Season, Take 2 opened with a bang Wednesday night for the Clippers. The first professional basket for this city's most intriguing basketball player was a dunk, alley-oop, raise the roof, ooohs and aaahs and oh my gosh. Moments later, Blake Griffin had an even better one. The third professional basket for this city's most intriguing basketball player was a flying jam off a rebound, left-handed, wild-minded, fans literally falling over each other in dramatic amazement. ... Griffin was more than strong, more than skilled, he was also entertaining, and when is the last time the Clippers have had someone who could even make you smile?

I don't know about that. Reading the article I wish I watched the game but then I found out his team lost so what did he accomplish?

But on the plus side he will average 20 points and 11 rebounds in his rookie season, in my opinion.

an nba game under his belt...a successful one at that. Reason for optimism...certainly,
considering the track record of the Leagues bigs. (Bynum/ Oden/ Yao ect..)

That was more Davis and Kamen poor shooting taking them out of the game. They had a lead at one point in the 4th.

Can't wait to see him play against skilled big men. Clips better learn how to play D soon tho...

If the clippers get it together and make the playoffs blake griffen will win ROY and MVP

October 28, 2010  11:22 AM ET

this guy is a flat out beast! goes for every rebound and putback. has an incredible vertical leap. was a good game for him

October 28, 2010  11:36 AM ET

Blake played well last night. If Kamen would have played better, the Clippers would of had a win. It may not be long before Griffin becomes the best PF in the league.

and....the Clippers lost...how many times have we seen this?

If the Clippers are the usual Clippers...Blake will make a nice addition to another team in a couple of years.
