08:17 AM ET 10.29 | Diego Maradona wants a job in the Premier League for his 50th birthday. The Argentine legend admits he's been talking to Kevin Keegan about life at the top in England and is eager to get back into work. "The only problem is all the teams I like in England have good coaches. If any important job comes along I will accept it. I was looking at Arsenal and Chelsea," said Maradona.

What I really want to know is directed to Bayern.... tho I feel he may be a bit busy til next Wednesday... anyway, Bayern - how do you feel about someone named "Charles Krauthammer" writing op-eds for the Washington Post? ;-)

but for my two cents, as someone of German decent, Charles is kinda wimpy, better to go with Chuck.

Krauthammer, if pronounced Kraut-hammer, is awesome, and the dude better be this gigantic Teutonic beast of a guy

if its Krauth-ammer, meh, loses dramatic effect

Even if it is pronounced the second way... I bet his friends have always chosen #1... he might've even called himself that at some point.

Keep dreaming boy ... nobody will forget how heavily Argentina lost against Germany.
Top teams want coaches with pedigree, who have championchips. Not a wannabe coach who kisses his players.

The Crew played like **** last night! We are lucky they only scored one goal. It could have 2 or 3. It was just a general clusterfugg last night, no one played well. The backline was out of sorts with too many give aways. The midfield could not link up to the forwards. The forwards could not hold the ball or put a shot on target. Why Lenhart is still starting is beyond me. Yes, I like his work rate and never say die attack but he can not hold the ball for ****. Plus we need someone who can score goals and he is not it. There were 3 freekicks before GBS was subbed out. The last 20 mins there must have been 5 to 10 including corners. What is up with that?!?

The Crew still are sitting pretty... like you said, could've easily been 2 or 3. But Colorado, while they "won" that leg, didn't exactly set themselves up for a very easy second leg. Columbus 2-1 or 3-1, all said and done... sticking by that.

Honestly, I thought the game was lost by the Crew's midfield who couldn't control anything.

Schelotto couldn't do anything...

Still- I think the Crew will end up winning by two in Cowtown, and you will go on to lose to New Jersey in the Eastern finals.

I fell asleep with 15 minutes left in the 2nd Half..... I just couldn't fight that feeling anymore....
I forgot what I'd started fighting for......

How about the poor kid at Notre Dame who textmsgs basically that he's gonna die and then that's exactly what happened....

If you missed it yesterday--the boys interview the open and honest Mr Jimmy Conrad... who calls the "marketing" for the US Open Cup, "terrible" just for starters.... Says MLS has some work to do to improve things for the league, teams and players.

The only team Maradona should be coaching is the local prison team. He must be back on the white powder if he thinks he's going to get the mangerial job at Chelsea or Arsenal

I agree with your comment on the midfield. They were just bad. IMO Gaven needs to be on the wing and not in the middle. Have Carroll and Burns in the middle with Gaven and Rogers/Ekpo on the wings.

Robbie Rogers looked like he took a valium and a "I don't give a ****" pill before the match.
Gavin was disappointing, wing or middle.

Two guys (all on Colorado) with great chemistry, which is why they're gonna win this:

Cummings and Casey
Maestroni and Lawrentowicz (the spelling for both always get me)

OK - admittedly, not an MLS fan....but thought I'd give it another try.

Agree Crew midfield was bad - especially Rogers. Wasn't he a near-miss for the USMNT. Yeesh, that doesn't say much for the wingers in the USMNT pool.

Maybe it was the blindingly yellow unis - hard to watch.

I will say the game was far more entertaining (especially for a 1-0 game) than I expected. I'll watch again.
