09:24 AM ET 10.29 | Headlining Minnesota's list of injury concerns is Joe Mauer. [Mauer] will not need to have surgery on his left knee, Twins general manager Bill Smith confirmed on Thursday afternoon. The Twins' All-Star catcher dealt with a number of injuries throughout the 2010 season, including a sore right shoulder and a deep bone bruise on his left heel in addition to the sore left knee which forced him to miss nine games in late September. Those various injuries had an impact on Mauer's production in 2010, although he still batted .327 with nine home runs and 75 RBIs in 137 games.

Well, not many guys could play Gold Glove defense at the catcher position and bat .327 over a full season when under a video game curse...Guess this Mauer guy must be pretty good...
