Would these guys coach the Cowboys?

This is a non story until after the season.

The personnel is there in Dallas. They have some incredible talent, but the only missing piece is the coach. Cowher could win there. But, what about Rex Ryan's twin brother in Cleveland? He's smart, comes up with good schemes, and deserves a shot at the head coach position.

Two things need to be change to help the Cowboys fire the head coach and get rid of Romo.

But that would entail Jerry giving up some personnel power. He'll have to do some soul-searching to do that.

-- should demand that he be able to hire his own staff. You can't win when you're the head coach and it's the owner's coaching staff.

You know everyone's talking about a new coach for the Cowboys...who the hell would want the job, with an owner like Jerry Jones looking at your every move. I don't see anyone in their right mind wanting that job.

Yea Coach Cupcake is gone, everybody sees the writing on the wall. Romo on the other hand will be around for several years to come. Just look at his stats. You have to be an idiot not to see he is one of the better QB's in the league. There are at least 25 teams that he could start for. Your problems with Romo must be personal.

Great stats, but he doesn't win games. That's the problem with Romo. I'd rather have a guy like Flutie, who never had great stats, and by all reckoning was too small to be a pro quarterback. But, somehow, he'd find a way to win. Flutie was even a winner in Buffalo. Romo's not a winner in Dallas.

Cowher is not going to work for this guy-not now-not ever. He is way to smart for that.

agree..... dallas has lots of problem areas and many are starting to add QB to the list. stats are great when they come with wins, but romo has not produced and dallas is getting worse. part of that has to fall on the QB.

1-5 is no fun for any Cowboys fan. The only bright side is the Cowboys threads on FN this week have actually been football-related. No "Pacman Jones assaults body guard in rest room", "TO is jealous of Witten". " JessS says".........(something stupid). It's actually kinda refreshing.

If a horrible season is what it takes to make the changes needed for the Cowboys, I'm all for it.

Steve - you are right. There are probably 25 teams he could start for.

But until I see the fire in him that tells me he will do ANYTHING it takes to win, then he I don't even put him on the same level with Danny White or Don Meridith.

We got a host of problems that need to be addressed (starting with the O-Line and Secondary) but I don't believe Romo is the answer and Jerry needs to start planning for his imminent replacement.
