10:45 AM ET 10.31 | Each year since he's been in NASCAR, Marcos Ambrose has made the 9,500-mile journey from Miami to his native Tasmania to be home with friends and family for Christmas. But when the season ends next month, Ambrose and his family will remain in North Carolina. "This year I'm not going back to Australia," Ambrose said Friday at Talladega Superspeedway. "It's all getting pretty hot and heavy, so I've got to stay here and really get ready for 2011." If Ambrose has a Christmas wish list this year, his No. 1 request has to be an infusion of cash for Richard Petty Motorsports, the team he's planning on joining next season. Since news broke that the team was struggling, Ambrose has been in constant contact with his future employers.

Looks like he's hoping for a Christmas present in the form of a contract with a viable team. I bet he wishes he could have seen this mess with Petty coming before he commited to that team.

The spammers should go to Tasmania.

Would be hard for him to submit resume's and have job interviews from Tazmania

My guess is....With the unknown at RPM, Ambrose is saving money....cost like $10,000 per person to Fly to the Down Under,...so $10,000 x him & his family = ???

Idea sponsor for Ambrose, who pans for gold = Gold into CASH, ;) car could be Gold in the Front turn into Green Cash at the rear

One of the sport's truly good guys is about to be screwed by RPM's implosion, but at least he recognizes it. He will land on his feet.

Not to bad a race today, good to see a new winner, watching the race I noticed that Dale Jr was having a Great day, then it turned to crap, I for the life of me never see such bad luck in racing, I think he has a gremlin on his sholder, to bad, a likeable fellow. I wished Harvick or Hamlin could have one and got the points lead, I'll take 2 points though.

It's to bad that Mr Burton went UP the track IN FRONT of Dale Jr and caused the wreak,'' replay '' on Nascar .com.

''''I stand corrected and apologize'''',he did run into Burton, it looked like Montoya pushed him up in front, but that was after Dale hit his rear end.

I had the radio on and they had J.J. ahead of Hamlin even before they looked at the results of the loops.
