08:08 AM ET 11.01 | Roy Hibbert is becoming even harder to miss in Jim O'Brien's offense. Passing out of the post was one of the things the Indiana Pacers were worried about with [Hibbert] in the preseason. Hibbert, the up-and-coming third-year center, had a tendency to hold the ball without looking for cutters as he made his move to the basket. He's now showing signs of better reading the defense. The 7-2 Hibbert led the team in assists the past two games. He had 11 assists and only three turnovers in the two Pacers victories. ... "I've repeatedly said we're going to play through Roy and that's because he's a unique big man," O'Brien said.

I don't know how that will help them. They suck. There's no game plan or defensive strategy on earth that will make things any better... lottery is inevitable.

Roy has been improving every season, he will be a solid center in the league. Unlike Thabeet that is terrible and does not know how to play defense without fouling.

I say they have a good look about them with a consistent granger, a good producing rookie last year in collinson, and now the upcoming of hibbert. I think the pacers are gonna be alright if they keep these three.

Don't be so quick to judge this squad, hell they're in a better position than your lowly Knicks. they'll be a playoff team before the Knicks that's for sure, I'm willing to bet on it...

throwi the pistons, raptors, and cavs in there while you're at it....6,7,8th seeds all up for grabs

Has Hibbett shed any LBs since joining the association? He is slower than a turtle.

Keep working hard, Bro.

Hibbert has made himself into one of the league's better centers....but i still wouldn't run the offense through him

I'll admit, I was down on him, but he looks fit and more agreasiveLets see if he keeps it up

I always felt like he had 'potential', but like you I was also down on him. He never struck me as physical enough and being a 7 footer, the last thing you want to be is soft. I hope he can "man up" because G-Town has a rich tradition of big men and I hope he carries the mantle of the greats.

He is a quality big man...alot better than that twin tower of crap down in Dallas thats for sure.

And the Spurs are rolling out elite talent at center...lol

How is Spliter doing again?

He actually is looking muscular now instead of having all that baby fat on him...I read somewhere he got on a weight and diet program this past off season....I guess you really cant complain if your #1 option is a center and he is putting up 18/10/5 along with 3 blocks a game...

injured....but I think he will play tonight....

Hmm....Maybe....

I think they mean throwing it down low and possibly getting a double team on him so he can kick it out to Granger or a slashing collison or Dunleavy.....Thats what I see see them running through him.

Guarantee he will average more than 4 pts and 4 rbs a game like Haywood...or 6 pts and 6 rbs like Chandler...

lol....Ya sure.

lets see Chandler is averaging 6 and 7 and almost 2 blocks in 23 minutes a game and haywood is at 4 and 4 with 2 blocks a game in 22 minutes...Not bad when its all combined and they are your 4th or 5th scoring options....

Both are back up centers and nothing more.

AND yet they can both start...Did you want the Mavs to go out and get Howard is that it?

Hey even Fabricio Oberto averaged 5pts and 5 boards when he was a Spur...so saying Splitter will atleast average 8-10 points and the same for boards is too big of a stretch?

I just havent seen the guy do anything at all and he is a Euro which has been proven are nothing when they come into the NBA....Time will tell... Maybe you guys need to try and find Rasho's number and get him back....

QUOTE:

Hey the Spurs had to live with RJ last season...eventhough he looks much better this year so far...so no one is going to have a dream team at all positions....so Haywood and Chandler are not bad players they just are not starters.

Really? I mean Chandler has averaged 10 and 10 in their career before....Of course they arent Exing, Hakeem, or Robinson but they arent asked to score like that (which they cant) they are asked to rebound and protect the basket which they both do pretty well for todays big men....

Well its like this they are Mavs....that is why you defend them...just like me with Splitter and RJ...but they are not impressing no one outside Dallas..

They dont have to impress anyone just do the job they got them for....I mean we lost Damp which isnt a bad thing....
