07:58 AM ET 11.02 | Without the Vikings or Cowboys stealing headlines, the Redskins would challenge for the NFC team most resembling a soap opera -- especially after Mike Shanahan chose Rex Grossman over Donovan McNabb to run his two-minute drill. McNabb was so stiff in his hamstrings that Shanahan had seriously considered not starting him at all. In addition to being hobbled, McNabb was pounded senseless, absorbing seven sacks and at least a dozen more hits. ... "He had taken a couple of shots there, and I said, 'This is crazy, I'm going with Rex,'" Shanahan said.

I'm starting to take Shanny's side on this one... He knows best.

Even an out of shape McRib is better then Grossman....

But still... Rex Grossman sucks awfully...

I'd still put in a gimpy McNabb over GrossSUCK!

Gotta do what's best for the team. If he wasn't physically sound, then Coach made the right call.

Doesn't excuse the 4th Q collapse...

I had hopes for the Redskins this year. RIP.

Sunday was not a good day in the NFL for guys named "Rex."

Caption- "That's right. I'm the coach and that's the position you will take."

We're not THAT sold on McNabb.... But moreso than Rex.

Race ya to the bottom of the basement. LOL!

You can always chnage allegances and root for the Dallas Cowboys. We have a great QB in Tony Romo.

I feel sorry for the skins. I had them at 8-8 this year. Get a better O-line and maybe you might have a chance at passing or running.

Obviously that rule of thumb does not apply in Minnesota...

The McNabb we have, isn't the one that was in Philly.
