08:13 AM ET 11.02 | While his 106th-ranked defense continued to betray the Wolverines, Rich Rodriguez laughed off any suggestion he needed to overhaul his staff on that side of the ball. Michigan has now lost three in a row and is 5-3, 1-3 Big Ten, one victory from bowl eligibility. ... Rodriguez said he has not made any changes to his defensive staff. He said he first heard of the rumors about a half-hour before meeting with the media. His reaction? "Laughed," Rodriguez said.

If this losing streak continues, you might not find it so funny.

Rich-Rod will be toast if the Wolverines don't win a bowl this season.

If another loss does'nt do it a upcoming beatdown in Columbus will seal his fate.

Actually I hope he stays a few more years.... I like the Bucks record vs. Richie

"Rich Rod defiant on D staff"

I think some of these interns might live an alternative lifestyle.

It's not the D-staff, it's the head coach that needs to change. The arrogant clown is getting everything he deserves.

Apparently he's aiming for the Toilet Bowl.

And...CUT!

That's a wrap on Wolverines: The RichRod Years.

I do like the potential for a lot interesting coaching changes this year.

I don't see the Wolverines taking Mullen since he's not a Michigan man. Does anyone really feel that Harbaugh wants the Michigan job if it happens. It is evident that the old heads at UM don't want RR.

That Michigan Man BS was tossed out the window with RR. He singlehandedly trashed their storied rep with no NCAA violations.

I think Les Miles jumps ship this time.

I don't know, but Harbaugh seems pretty happy where he is. And why not? At Michigan, 7-4 gets you firmly on the hot seat...at Stanford, until recently, it's a pretty decent season.

Harbaugh - depends on if he wants to come back and really change the atmosphere of Michigan. The atmosphere he criticized a few years ago.

If Michigan is smart the one and only call they make is to Harbaugh. Period. End of story. Harbaugh has really turned around Stanford. It's obviously a step up and it is his alma mater. Plus more money. I say he would definitely be interested.

Maybe, but would Michigan want him?

You gotta love RichRoid. For all the Mich alumni who have an overinflated perspective of their University and it's place in the universe, this situation is karma. Hope Mich can upset Ohio State and then sign Richie for a ten year extension.

The key question. Hard to believe a HC with an 84-36 regular season record, 5-3 bowl record, BCS title, AND a Michigan background might be a hard sell to a fanbase...but he just might.
