Favre on Moss: Stats were deceiving

07:57 AM ET 11.04 | In addition to taking another opportunity to remind everyone that he doesn't always agree with Brad Childress, Brett Favre talked about losing Randy Moss on Wednesday. Moss caught 13 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns in four games with the Vikings but Favre went out of his way to say, "I think statistics are so deceiving, especially in Randy's case." Favre pointed out that aside from Moss' first game with the Vikings -- in which the Jets had corner Antonio Cromartie provide single coverage the whole game -- Moss consistently drew double teams. That made it difficult to get the ball to Moss but easy to find Percy Harvin. Harvin's numbers in those four games: 19 catches, 287 yards, two touchdowns.

Rice coming back in a couple of weeks - Moss won't be missed.

Another bone head move by Chilly.

Other than the fact Chilly looks like science teacher, no one ever accused him of being too bright.

Moss is cut by a team that is nearly out of the playoff race, only to be picked up by a team that has a decent chance to win their division. Moss should send Chilly a Christmas card.

Picking him up in the first place? Yes. Dumping him? No.

it sucks that Moss won't relish in the "team" concept...he's a great decoy, in that he makes progressions easy for the qb....

This week's game against the Arizona Cardinals just got even less interesting, if that's possible.

We appreciate it coach chilly. Now will you send us some one that can throw him the ball too?

I agree with dumping Moss, but was anyone really suprised by Moss' outbursts? He was starting to act up in New England and was reverting to type. The Hoodie saw this. This move makes Chilly look like the gambler who's proud winning $5 after dumping $100.

Just got back from Vegas, by the way. The renovations at the Tropicana are really paying off, BTW.

You talking about Farve or Moss?

Or Chilly?

Interesting that after all the speculation, the Titans were the ONLY team that claimed him.

Chilly would gladly do that for you. But, he doesn't have anyone like that on his roster.

The Titans would have gotten him over the other teams anyway

Not true.

Not true.

I'll rephrase, out of the teams that would have wanted him.
