08:00 AM ET 11.05 | Not all hope is lost for the Cowboys, at least as long as you're asking Roy Williams. Williams still believes the 1-6 Cowboys can reach the playoffs. "You know me. I think we can go nine in a row, if you ask me," Williams said. "People can call me stupid or whatever but this football team has the corps of players and the supporting cast of players to win nine in row. We just got to get it started."

There's a difference between staying positive and being delusional.

Seriously if you're delusional then your "motivational" speech gets tuned out by the people you're trying to motivate. Worse you provide bulletin board material for the other team starting with Green Bay.

The last time this team ran the table it cost Dez Bryant $55K.

November 5, 2010  08:16 AM ET

He said they can run to the buffet table. FN interns are always getting the story wrong.

You meet the packers this week, who even hurt as they are, are playing tough football, so good luck with that.

November 5, 2010  08:25 AM ET

Someone should clue Roy in that the team has nowhere near the required mental capacity to be successful for even Pee Wee Football.

"but this football team has the corps of players"

That's "corpse" of players, Roy. Corpse.

Roy is allowed to have his opinion.
I believe if I really work hard - every Thursday my boss would send out for some exotic dancers to liven up the mood around here.

Maybe one of us is right :)

Roy... less talking, more playing...

November 5, 2010  08:34 AM ET

Yep. People are gonna call you stupid or whatever.

November 5, 2010  08:43 AM ET

You have to like their chances with that John Kitna-Roy Williams passing combo. Really strikes fear in the rest of the league

November 5, 2010  08:47 AM ET

Roy must be smoking dope with Snoop Dog. My beloved 'Boys are toast this season. JJ needs to take over the coaching duties here on out.

November 5, 2010  08:52 AM ET

A Denver thread and no F.J.M. , now, we have a Cowboy thread with no Otis? what the heck!

Wow! I can image that a few decent receving games can boost a guys confidence level, but Roy is teetering on the unrealistic line.
