08:09 AM ET 11.05 | At the end of a loss during which Tom Thibodeau's defensive credentials may have taken a hit, the Bulls head coach turned to his bench. Thibodeau opted not to go back to his starters as Taj Gibson (18 points) made a pair of free throws with 3:04 left to make it 113-104. The Bulls never got closer than the final score down the stretch. Thibodeau said he stuck with his bench players because they were defending the three-point line better and he wanted to see if they could continue the run. Was keeping the starters on the bench a message? "Whether it's a message or not, we have to do a better job," Luol Deng said.

You know your team sucks when Knicks get your starters benched.

Just kidding Bulls fans. This was a match up of offensive and defense philiosophies and offense won cos this was a regular season game. The result might be different if it was a playoff game... Now get over it and get your **** to the Boston garden for another blowout loss...

Bro, the party is over. Should've never inked Noah to long term deal. He's not that good.

I like how people say the Heat have no chance because they are strictly a jump shooting team....yet people believe in the Knicks and Bulls who chucked UP 45 FREAKING 3 POINTERS LAST NIGHT!!!!

Well the knicks made like HALF of their attempts. That's pretty frickin good shooting...

I dunno about the Bulls 3's but my Knicks shot 16/23... that's impressive. We get the Wiz tonite so we'll have a winning record. Stoudemire needs to take care of the ball. He's not playing like a superstar. Someone needs to sit him down and force him to watch all of his last three games. He's been a liability to the team and that's not what we paid him 100mil for. Get it together STAT... stop forcing it.

Junk shooting teams don't last in the playoffs... cos once you shut down the perimeter they have nobody to punish you inside. Dallas is prime example.

Wait... you know someone that "believes" in the Knicks or Bulls?

I mean someone who's not on some serious drugs? Knicks and Bulls... not exactly the Clash of the Titans

Yeah once.....that is why teams like Phoenix,Dallas,Orlando,Thunder,Portland,Chicago rarely win in the playoffs over the Shaq,Kobe and Duncan era.....you cant win by chucking up 25 3 Pointers in a game.....period...

Heat fans take notice!!

Yeah but LBJ and Wade take it to the Rack as well......Durant,Lewis,Richardson,Aldridge,Dirk....just shoot all freakin day...and that works in the reg season...but never has in the playoffs...you have to take it to the rack until the other team makes a adjustment that works...then hit them with the post and block game........

LBNique just smashes into guys and counts on the refs to bail him out.. which they do by express orders from Stern.

Wade takes it to the rack... LBNique just takes it in the hole

Good post.It was a little strange, the benching....my thought was that TT gave up and was restimg them for the boston gamr......but it kinda seems dumb as they are kids and should be able to play nack to backs

Maybe trying to send a message to the kids?
