09:44 AM ET 11.06 | Former NBA guard Cuttino Mobley told Yahoo! Sports that he's hoping to return after sitting out the past two seasons. Mobley announced on Dec. 10, 2008, that he "couldn't continue to play professional basketball without putting my health and life in serious danger" after doctors told him he was at risk because of his heart condition, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Mobley, 35, says he's confident his heart is fine, and is willing to undergo a series of physicals for interested teams.

Well, the cash ran out and I can't live my "lifestyle". So, instead of getting a J-O-B, I will risk my life and play basketball.

wonder what else he could do if not basketball - basketball is all most of the nba players have ever known and would require training for ANYTHING else - plus any thing else would not pay the nba min. wage of ( i think ) $250,000.00 per year - (please let me know if that 250 is right)

VET MIN....goes by years in the NBA ....But, Jerry Stackhouse VET MIN in Miami $1,352,181, same as Z-man..SHAQ, T-Mac, Joe Smith....so I am guessing for Mobley the same $1.3m...

For NBA salaries go to ;) http://www.hoopsworld.com/

So another thing for the NBA to looking into re guarding the Knicks....

Mobley Played 11 seasons, 737 games, 37 mpg, then traded to the Knicks...and BAM...heart problem. Knicks get the insurance, have a losing record for two years, clear Mobley salary from the CAP for LBJ,....and low and behold....How Mobley can play Again....

I smell something in NY and it is not New Jersey! ...bet Zeke is behind it!

If the guy couldn't pass a physical 3 years ago, how is he suppose to pass one now. Sounds to me like he's probably broke and looking for a payday.
