10:41 AM ET 11.06 | When you put together an amalgamation of the Cam Newton rumors we've heard and ones that have bounced around the Internet for the past 24 hours or so, this is the gist of how Urban Meyer has become intertwined in this mess: Florida's head coach took part in a conference call with Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen and former Bulldogs quarterback John Bond, urging the pair to leak the story of the NCAA's investigation. Or he urged the pair to take the information to the proper authorities and that got the investigation started. Or that he met the pair in an underground parking garage, smoking cigarettes in the shadows while divulging damaging information about a fellow SEC school. Bond, though, is attempting to shoot down the speculation, at least the part that pertains to Meyer.

If it's college sports, bank it, someone cheated. It is just figuring out who and when.

Sports in general, not just college.

It's a business and sports imitates life.

Why should sports be any different than WorldCom, Enron, Adelphia, or ACORN?

College Football's version of "All the President's Men" with Meyer tagged as D*E*E*P T*H*R*O*A*T.

This can not be good news to the SEC!

The reasons why it SHOULD be different are many. The reason why it isn't is just one - greed.

$180,000? What have we come to? In the old days a no show job at the local auto dealer was good enough. And a few odd $20 bills after a game so you could go party for a bit.

The 2008 & 2010 elections proved that if people stand up there can be a turn around.

Wasn't the 2010 elections a correction of the 2008 elections?

any comments on TCS thumping Utah? Sure makes an interesting argument for the NC. While I am no fan of boise or TCU, they make are both making strong arguments for a playoff since there is a better than legitimate chance they will still be shut out.
